According to source, Quadri who was a former President of the Law Students’ society of OAU was an easy going, intelligent and reserved person and was planning his birthday and call to bar which coincidentally are both this month.

In a condolence message from the Law Student Society of OAU, the deceased was described as  a friend and mentor.

During his five years as  student of the prestigious Faculty of Law, OAU and a year of selfless service as the President of the Law Students’ Society, OAU, Ile-Ife (2014/2015 Session), he distinguished himself among his colleagues and other students of the university through his pleasant, enthusiastic and continuing high-quality performance. He was a valued member of the Society, and we can be justly proud of his immense contributions to the growth and development of our quintessential Society. We his junior colleagues, friends and well wishers remember him with respect and admiration and he will be missed by all.

We extend our condolences to you all. We hope that time and memories will help lessen the burden of your sorrow, and that you may draw some measure of comfort knowing that others care and share your loss.

For his friends, his death is simply one that is difficult to come to terms with:

According to Abu Umar Adetunji Olatunde

May Allah have mercy on Quadri Oladimeji Olaniran! He wrote and passed the bar exams. He was to be called to the bar on November 28th or 29th. He was not sick nor injured. He posted on the class WhatsApp page only yesternight, he passed on few hours ago. Were it not to be an established fact that the last of the dead would join the first of the dead, we would mourn you more than we do. Our hearts are filled with griefs, our eyes are filled with tears, we won’t say anything displeasing to our Lord. Pray for our brother.

Wallahi, death is inevitable. My eyes are filled with tears when i learnt he is no more. Back then in 2014 when i met him, he was a wonderful guy full of life, very jovial.

Death! O death!, you did this again. Nothing like lemme say farewell, when it’s time, it’s time. The same death that will take the soul of the young, will do same to the old. It’s not different for kings and chiefs. When it’s time, it’s time. O death that took my beloved grandmother, Seliatu mi Adufe, is the same that snatched away our dear friend, Quadri Oladimeji Olaniran, former president, LSSOAU.

LSSOAU class of 2015, Faculty of Law,OAUife and the generality of great Ife students, i commiserate with you, indeed, a great hero has fallen. May Almighty Allah be with the family of the deceased in this trying times and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

I also beseech Allah to grant him Aljanat firdaos and illuminate his grave. To us that are still alive at this moment, death is enough admonition, let us lead a faithful life and always think of the hereafter.

Uwalaka Austin Yet again the sun has set for a gem among us. The sky shed tears of silence. They are so deafening even to the origins of chaos. Fate entrusted the destiny of the Law Students Society 2014/2015 in his hands. He was a real soldier who knew the battle he must fight. He did not tarry nor retreat. He looked life in the face and called it’s bluff. You inspire me brother even in death. Rest on my wonder-instigating tireless selfless dreamer and friend. Rest in peace Quadri Oladimeji Olaniran. It is painful, but…Alas!!! God knows better. I will miss you my friend.

I still can’t believe the tragic news I’m hearing about the death of my very good friend Quadri Oladimeji Olaniran Quadri was a caring friend and brother to me during our stay at Bwari.I cannot forget the advise you gave to me when I told you that my doctor said I should quit law sch & face my health. You said “Justice you cannot afford to come back to Bwari as a student again, no matter the situation try and write the exam”.

You were so nice to everyone, always eager to teach even when you were busy reading at the library you would displease yourself to teach others.

Quadri do you know that your screening is next week and Call to Bar is in two weeks time? I still can’t believe this tragic news because we chatted last night. Just few days ago you collected all d pics we took together. Sometimes I feel like questioning God but who am I?

I could remember the little time we spent together at Lovitoz watching Chelsea match, my group leader, my neighbour, my reading partner.

Sleep well brother!

May Almighty God grant the family of Olaniran the fortitude to bear the loss of their son.
The entire Group Nine(9) miss you

The entire 2016/2017 NLS Set say goodbye.
